This information is ONLY for competitors who received First through Third (1 to 3rd) placement at the previous year’s National Championships. This information will serve to clarify which athletes receive automatic invitations to compete in the following or next year’s competition and whether or not that invitation is to the Provincial or National competition.
Competitors Placing 1st in Amateur or Semi-Pro Division at Nationals
* Those who earned 1st place in the Amateur or Semi-Pro Division at Nationals earn an automatic invitation to compete in your respective Provincial competition for the next year directly following your placement in the next Division up.
* For example: If you placed 1st in Semi-Pro at Nationals in 2015, you will have an automatic invitation to compete in the Pro Division at your respective Provincial competition in 2016.
* There is no video submission required for this process.
* You must accept this invitation, which you will receive via email and you must reply with your acceptance no later than April 1st, 2016.
Competitors Placing 1st in Pro, Duo, Men’s or Masters Division
at Nationals
* Those who earned 1st place in the Pro, Duo, Men’s, and Masters Divisions at Nationals earn an automatic invitation for the year directly following their placement at the National competition in the same division.
* There is no video submission required for this process.
* You must accept this invitation, which you will receive via email and you must reply with your acceptance no later than May 1st, 2016.
Competitors Placing 2nd or 3rd in any Division at Nationals
* Any competitor who placed 2nd or 3rd at Nationals in any division must re-apply via video submission to the respective Provincial competition.
* There is no automatic invite for any competitor placing 2nd or 3rd at Nationals to any Provincial or National competition.
Competitors Placing 1st – 3rd in any Division at a Provincial Competition
* There is no automatic invitation for the following year for any placement at a Provincial competition.
* All athletes placing 1st – 3rd at a Provincial competition and NOT placing 1st at a National competition must re-apply via video application to their desired division for their respective Provincial competition for the following year.
