Cassandra has never had any dance experience (well, save one ballet class at age 5 that she doesn’t recall fondly). She has a Professional background in Finance and had a career of 17 years. She is a wife and mother of two. When she was on a sabbatical at the age of 41; she and a friend ventured into a pole studio in her town, really to try it but mostly for encouragement of a friend who had been going there for years. Well, they had more fun laughing at their awkward selves; not much rhythm or grace, and certainly very disjointed to our “sexy side” as the motto goes. But it tapped into something powerful, and by the end of the intro class Cassandra knew we were taking the first session. By the end of the first session Cassandra knew that she was hooked and by the end of the year, she knew she’d found a new lifestyle. As her sabbatical came to an end rather than returning to her old career she followed her passion of pole and hasn’t looked back! This would be Cassandra’s first public performance outside of her own studio, at the age of 44. Nuts eh?
