Tara discovered pole at the end of 2012 as a non-impact exercise form while recovering from a knee injury. She was formerly a national level competitive swimmer, having rounded out her career as an NCAA division one scholarship athlete in the United States. After a few pole fitness classes, she decided to give the dancing and tricks aspect a try in January of 2013. She hasn’t been back in a pool since. Today she balances life as a surgical resident with her love of movement and flight. She currently trains at Pole Incorporated in Toronto.
