I was never really into fitness. I couldn’t bring myself to go running or play sports or do anything that involved sweating. But then, I discovered pole. I took my first pole class with my mom about two years ago and instantly became hooked. I spent the summer of 2012 going to each and every pole class available until the fall when I attended my first year of university at Guelph. Even though I had to say goodbye to pole for about 8 months, I would spend every lecture thinking about new moves and combos- it got to a point where I bought a pole and put it in my dorm room! Now that I’m back at home in Milton for the summer, I return to Brass-Angels studio and hope to develop my skills and love of dance. Pole is my passion and my expression and this competition gives me the opportunity to showcase that with others. I am so excited for this years Ontario Pole Fitness Competition and can’t wait to see all the beautiful performances from this wonderful pole community!
